The European path to digital transformation

Looking into the "engine room" combined with a European perspective

adesso Digital Day 2024 Lecture by Prof. Dr. Heinrich Arnold

Europe is facing a decisive phase of digital transformation. Prof. Dr. Heinrich Arnold, Lead Partner and Advisory Board Member at several companies, including material.one AG of the adesso Group, emphasizes the importance of a specific European approach. While the USA and Asia are focusing on new technologies, European companies must utilize their historical strengths and focus on data-driven business models.

Arnold emphasizes how platforms such as material.one can promote transparency and sustainability in supply chains. He draws parallels with successful high-tech ecosystems and shows that transformation is possible even in a short time if targeted investment is made in digitalization and collaboration.

The digital transformation is not only an opportunity for Europe, but a necessity in order to remain competitive.
